Current Projects

University of California-Berkeley (Berkeley, CA).  Lead Evaluator for the Oakland Technology and Education Collaborative, a digital storytelling project to create “college-going identities” with low-achieving ninth grade students, funded by the U.S. Department of Education Community Technology Center program.

Bay Area Video Coalition (San Francisco, CA).  Lead Evaluator of the Job Campaign Manager Initiative, a digital tool to support unemployed and under-employed adults in four San Francisco low-income housing developments, funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce.

East Bay Center for the Performing Arts (Richmond, CA).  Lead Evaluator for Learning Without Borders, a media literacy and multicultural arts program for 4th graders, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Arts in Education program.

California Arts Council Demonstration Projects. Lead evaluator for a several arts education projects.  Member of the CAC Evaluation Advisory Committee.

Lowell Telecommunications Corporation ( Lowell, MA). Lead Evaluator for a Community Technology Center program addressing information access and the digital divide funded by the U.S. Department of Education.

Miami Museum of Science (Miami, FL). Lead Evaluator for a virtual reality project to promote gender equity funded by the National Science Foundation.

National Alliance of Media Arts and Culture (San Francisco, CA). Development and fundraising for a multi-year youth media program.

Pacific Film Archive (Berkeley, CA). Consultant for "How to Read a Film" 3-day teacher education workshop, as part of a multi-year project funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.

Past Projects

Mt. Hood Cable Regulatory Commission (Portland, OR).  Lead evaluator and consultant to assess the grant-making activities of this Commission and to recommend improvements in their grant-making for local schools, non-profits and municipal agencies (October 2003).

Young Audiences of the Bay Area (San Francisco, CA). Lead Evaluator for Arts 4 Learning, an on-line professional development tool for teacher (August 2003).

Taos Talking Pictures (Taos, New Mexico). Provide technical assistance for program evaluation, strategic planning and fundraising for events and programs related to this film festival (Spring 2003).

Texas Commission on the Arts (Austin, TX). Consultant for seminar on integrating arts education and digital media programs in the state of Texas (February 2001).

ZEUM (Yerba Buena Center, SF). Lead Evaluator for school arts program funded by the Department of Commerce TIIAP grant to ZEUM (1997-2000).

Southeastern Utah Education Service Center (Price, UT). Lead Evaluator for software development of SURWEB, a multimedia, web-based archive funded in part by the U.S. Department of Education (1995-2000).

Office of Technology, U.S. Department of Education (Washington, DC). Presenter for the Educational Technology Evaluation Institute, a forum for professional evaluators in Ann Arbor, MI. (August 1998, 1999, 2000).

National Cable Television Association Consultant for the View Smart to Vote Smart Project. (July 2000).

Austin Museum of Modern Art and the University of Texas at Austin. Consultant for the Museum’s video education program. (October 1999).

British Film Institute (Warwick University, England). Consultant and Keynote Speaker for a seminar on the moving image and information technologies. (January 2000).
